Gunnislake Amateur Dramatics
GLAD
Our first production was a panto Babes in the Wood,
directed by its writer, Mark Seaman.
OUR VERY FIRST PRODUCTION WAS BABES IN THE WOOD. A lot of hard work has already been done in rehearsals, behind the scenes making costumes, props and scenery, filling in forms, booking equipment and drinking a lot of tea and coffee. Well done, folks for pulling out all the stops in the final few weeks to make it just perfect.
A special thank you to our band of Ted Baker on guitar, Tony Evans on keyboard and Gemma Brown on drums.
A special thank you also to our backroom folk who have worked so very hard. There’s Tracy and her front of house team who guided people to their seats, sold programmes, managed the interval refreshments, car parking and any audience problems. Rikki and his technical types who were in charge of sound, lighting and making sure the wonderful backdrops and sets were in place and working. Rachel as stage manager has a team who made sure the cast were on stage when they should be with the props as needed, opened and closed the curtains, and generally made it happen. Carol and Linda our costume heroes make sure we went on stage looking the part. And last but not least Mark our Director and Lesley our Producer.
Also a thank you to Bob for a very kind invitation to a free buffet after the Saturday night performance at the Tavistock Arms It was a very good party and gave us a good chance to unwind and say how wonderful we were!
Well done to everyone. From the feedback we gave the good folk of Gunnislake some brilliant entertainment that has brought our community together. And we did enjoy ourselves as well. Oh yes, we will!
