Minutes of meeting – Tuesday 1st September 2015

GUNNISLAKE AMATEUR DRAMATICS

Present: Frank Goodman (Chair), Phil Green (Vice Chair), Carol Banks, April Gunn, Jackie Coombs, Sue Goodman, Colin Cocking, Helen Day Cocking, Sally Hopkins, Michele Berrie, Ross Hanley, Lesley Smith

Apologies: Kayleigh Agar, Jean Day,

  1. Approval of minutes of Committee Meeting of 3rd August 2015 These were approved with no amendments – (Helen: please place on website.)

  2. Matters arising from Committee Meeting of 3rd August 2015 Frank would investigate West Devon drama group options. There are no drama associations for West Devon or for Devon as a whole - surprisingly. North Devon has one. Tavistock have two drama groups.

  3. The Vampire - Cast: The Vampire casting is now; Igor – Dave Williams, Captain/Dr. Evan Seward – Mike Choroszewski, Count Dracula – Ted Baker, Conan Van Helston, Phil Green, Lucy Westenra – Helen Day-Cocking, Mina Murray – Leone Harding, Johnnie Harker – Ross Hanley/Frank Goodman, Renfield/Billy Salter – Colin Cocking, Akeldama, Sue Goodman, Narkissa, April Gunn, Thana, Lesley Smith, DJ – Richard Baker. Sally has unfortunately had to drop out due to work commitments, so the part of Mercy Holmwood has been dropped. - Staging: The stage action will take place on the ground floor of the Buccaneer directly in front of the audience, whilst this restricts both playing area and audience numbers, it is the best logistical fit for the performance in terms of access, visibility and safety. - Publicity: Given the limited audience numbers, it was agreed to produce the publicity in house (posters, flyers, programme and tickets) all with low production values and limited distribution. Sue has put a piece in the Gunnislake Gateway - Certification: Lesley will check with Jill regarding her current public liability and entertainment licence to see if we need to produce an extra one for our performances. - Production: The production meeting took place as scheduled on27th August. Production requirements have been set and are in hand.

  4. AOB – Sue will put a piece in the Gunnislake Gateway regarding our intention to do a Variety Show in February and that we will be looking for acts on a date to be confirmed in the first week of November .

  5. Date of Next Meeting – Monday 5th October in the Tavistock Arms 7.30
