  1. Matters arising from Committee Meeting of 04 Aug (not covered in

previous minutes)

A1 Poster for hall: ACTION: Lesley to check at next Village Hall committee that they are still happy for us to put up a pantomime poster in lobby (first pantomime for 50 years in hall). Jean to check whether archives have any historical photos of previous pantos.

Albaston Fete: As far as we know this isn’t going ahead this year.

Membership secretary: Sue confirmed she is happy to take this on and has been speaking to Mike about it.

  1. Current financial position

Current budget of £2452.46.

Breakdown shared with meeting.

  1. Future plans - next performance

Bridge 501: July 4th seen as too early for GLAD to put something together for the Fun Day.

Suggestions for future performances included a revue of past performances to celebrate 10 years of GLAD. Small plays in Autumn. Murder Mystery at Christmas (based around a Christmas Carol).

Frank has several plays and performances ready to go.

Conclusion:

  • To put on several performances of Murder Mystery at Christmas (16,17,18 December provisional date booked in hall). Auditions end of Sept / beginning of Oct.

  • To look at some form of review beginning of 2022 with aim of linking this to the Festival in the Summer.

  • To raise GLAD profile with a quiz / raffle in the Rising Sun end of October (if that’s ok with Paul and Rising sun).

  • To have series of play readings / social evenings. Agenda item for next meeting.

  1. Carpet tile fixing

Lesley and Critter to meet and estimate how much double-sided tape to order. Combine sticking down tiles with moving the costumes back.

Agenda item for next meeting (bring a measuring tape).

  1. Current committee/need for AGM

Currently 13 on committee. Lesley welcomed Liz. Everyone else currently happy to stay.

AGM to be booked for May 2022.
