GLAD AT THE GUNNISLAKE FESTIVAL 2017

This year GLAD will once more be putting on and evening of theatrical sophistication and amusement at the Rising Sun. This event will take place on Friday 14th July, starting at 8.30. To this end we are looking for those who would like to take part.

The idea that each act would be short (a turn) and would consist of one of the following;

Comic song. Poem (comic or serious) Monologue (comic or serious) Sketch (comic or serious) Stand up comedy (not too blue)

The choice of material within these boundaries is entirely up to you. We would not be looking for general song or music performances as we feel they will be well catered for elsewhere in the festival.

So dust off those Two Ronnie sketches or those Allan Sherman songs. All poems welcome from Pam Ayres to Wordsworth. All you Alan Bennett fans or Music Hall aficionados, Victoria Wood or Samuel Beckett - something from Hamlet perhaps, or Macbeth! Things from Peter Kay or Monty Python or things more obscure. Be part of our show!

If you are interested in taking part please let Lesley know via Facebook by Friday 7th July and give them some idea of the piece you wish to perform.

There will be no collective rehearsals to attend, you can rehearse in your own way.

Entrance to the event will be free but there will be a raffle with proceeds going to GLAD and the Festival during the event.
