Annual General Meeting minutes for 2017

Attended: Committee and 10 other members (22 total)

1. Welcome: Chair welcomed everyone to the meeting and thanked them for attending.

2. Apologies for Absence: Carol Banks, Richard Baker, (Committee); Ted & Lorna Baker, Dave Williams (Members)

3. Minutes of previous AGM (21st April 2016) and matters arising.

These were agreed with no matters arising.

4. Chair’s Review of the year, including Financial Report

Vice chair: Phil Green, Secretary: Lesley Smith, Treasurer: Jean Day, Web Manager: Helen Baker

Committee Members: Michelle Berrie, Jackie Coombs, Richard Baker, Colin Cocking, Ross Hanley, Carol Banks, Sue Goodman

Standing Down:Frank Goodman, Sally Hopkins, Sue Goodman for publicity.

Election of new/replacement officers:

Having asked the floor if there were any volunteers to act as Chair, Lesley said that she was prepared to stand, but would have to relinquish being Secretary as the two offices were not compatible.Proposed by Phil, Seconded by Hilary and duly elected.

Volunteers were asked for to act as Secretary; Carol Green volunteered and was proposed by Jean, seconded by April and duly elected.

Lesley explained that there was a plan regarding membership if no one came forward, but Mike Choroszewski kindly volunteered to take this on again.Proposed by Helen, seconded by Michele and duly elected.

Colin Cocking volunteered to do publicity; Proposed by Hilary, seconded by Jean and duly elected.

All remaining committee members were proposed, seconded and voted by the floor. (Secretary holds a record of proposers/seconders if required).

New member:

Paul Critter Reid – proposed by Michele and seconded by Phil Green.

Action: Committee will ensure that all roles are filled.

The Committee for 2017 having been duly elected, the new Chair took her place.
