MINUTES

  1. Present and Apologies

  1. Approval of minutes of Committee Meeting of 13 November 2018

Approved, signed and ready for publication.

  1. Matters arising from Committee Meeting of 13 November (not covered in agenda items)

Trip to see “I'm Not Running” at the Wharf will not go ahead as reviews have not been good. Frank will let thecommittee know if anything else suitable should come up.

  1. Youth Group - update

  • 3 out of 4 weeks ran. One week cancelled as attendance was very poor.

  • Most any week was 5

  • £13 taken over the 5 weeks

  • Will not run in January

  • Will look at running any future Youth Group alongside a Panto / big production with ultimate aim of including youngsters in the production.

  1. Costumes – update

  • Costumes are now in place below the village hall and Linda has begun to sort. She will let the committee know when she is ready for others to help.

  1. Child Protection Policy

  • Lesley has reviewed and revamped CP policy as a result of discussion at last committee meeting.

  • Reporting a concern form will now be attached and copy put on website to be readily available

  • Committee chair is currently safeguarding lead and vice chair is deputy safeguarding lead but this will form part of the annual review

  • Concerns were raised about the reliability and effectiveness of chaperones as part of the safeguarding process but the committee was overwhelmingly confident in the GLAD chaperones based on their past experience and current training.

  • The committee recommended that this policy should now be ratified and reviewed next November prior to any performance that may include under 18's.

  1. Finance

  • Current balance is £3 651.07.

  • Annual NODA insurance is now due for renewal at £239.82

  • £30 is due to the Village hall for Youthgroup hire (a loss of £17).

  1. Future projects

  2. Xmas tree festival – scrolls are ready for decorating. Lesley will let people know of date for 'scroll decorating evening'. Tree will go up 2:00pm, Thursday 6th December.

  3. Passport to Gunnislake - Revision of scene 2 to adapt it to the Village hall. Some scenes will be set up simultaneously and lighting used to highlight. Publicity needed for auditions on 9 January in Village Hall.
