Gunnislake to become own country ..... for three nights only

Form an orderly queue over here for your tickets for Passport to Gunnislake. Yes, the moment you’ve all been waiting for is drawing nearer. By the time you see this the dreaded B……T word will have occupied the national consciousness to the point of exhaustion, so why not lighten up and come and see how life could pan out if Gunnislake became independent – from Cornwall, Great Britain and any other treaty obligations …..

Performances will take place on the evenings of Thursday 25th, Friday 26th and Saturday 27th April in Gunnislake Village Hall. There’s a large poster advertising this mind-blowing event up on the board outside the Tavistock, and tickets are now available at £6 from the Premier Stores and the Koffi Lodge. Other posters will be sprouting around the village soon! This will be first actual production (not counting last year’s Murder Mystery) that we will have put on in the Hall, so do come and support us, and the Hall, and have a fun evening to boot. As ever, our playwright in Residence, Frank Goodman, has written this comic play especially for GLAD, with more than a passing nod to that classic Ealing comedy “Passport to Pimlico”.

Still further excitement! The GLAD Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 22nd May in the Village Hall; doors opening at 6.30pm for a prompt 7.00 pm start to enable attendance at a certain pub quiz.
